FIELD: radars.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for processing information obtained by radar and can be used in all-round radar stations for recognizing airborne objects (AO). In the claimed method of forming a range portrait with increased information content, based on the use of signals with frequency tuning from pulse to pulse, the radial speed of an air target is estimated and this information is used when forming a range portrait. In this case, not one, but the entire possible set of frequency characteristics of the AO is used, the number of which corresponds to the number of diskettes of the received digitized signal. This allows you to save information with an extended location of individual sources of reflection of the probing signal.
EFFECT: reduction in amplitude distortions of individual impulse responses when using range portraits obtained by the claimed method.
