FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and medical equipment, in particular to one-piece disposable applicators, multi-layered applicators for determination of oxygenation level of patient's blood and how to use them to determine whether the patient is in shock state or not. One-piece applicator contains light emitter, light receiver, electronic circuit, transceiver built into it. Light receiver receives light from light emitter passing through or reflected from patient. Electronic circuit serves for light emitter and light receiver operation and for computing patient's level of blood oxygenation according to collected data. Transceiver transmits computed patient's level of blood oxygenation to remote device. Applicator is provided with fastening mechanism to enable said applicator to be secured to the patient in removable way. Another version of applicator is multi-layered applicator, which contains light emitter and light receiver, both built into applicator and light receiver receives light from light emitter passing through or reflected from patient, electronic circuit, built into the applicator electronics layer for realisation of light emitter and light receiver operation and for computing level of oxygenation of patient's blood, transceiver, built into the applicator in order to allow the applicator to transmit a signal which characterises the level of blood oxygenation, or collected data about the patient to remote device, which is not a part of said applicator, and a fastening mechanism provided on some layer of the applicator to allow the applicator to be attached to the patient in removable way. To determine whether a patient is in shock or not two multi-layered applicators are attached to different zones of the patient, the speed difference of patient's blood perfusion rate measured by said two applicators is determined, the specified difference is compared with predetermined range of states in order to make decision about whether the patient is in shock.
EFFECT: use of said applicators allows expanding the arsenal of technical means of the same purpose, namely, determining level of patient's blood oxygenation, at the same time the method allows determining whether a patient is in state of shock more accurately and in due time, including through selected zones of applicator indices comparison.
