FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of dielectric fluids of mechanical impurities. Proposed method consists in using multistage cleaning. Cleaning is carried out in two stages: first stage includes electrical separation and second stage comprises electrical cleaning. In first stage, inhomogeneous electric field is induced inside electric separator with intensity increasing from separator edges to central axis whereto fluid to be cleaned is fed to keep of impurities of fluid flowing to separator edges nearby central axis, thus cleaning fluid said fluid and concentrating impurities in fluid nearby said central axis. In second stage, mechanical impurities are extracted from fluid with impurities concentrated in electric separator by creating electrostatic field between electrodes and precipitating impurities in said electrodes. Note here that adjacent electrodes feature opposite potential signs.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of dielectric fluid cleaning.
