FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: hollow roller deflecting or stabilising strip is arranged in bath with melt metal. The roller is installed by means of the journal in a bearing on a bearing lever of the installation. Internal surface of the roller is sealed from melt metal and is connected with a space zone on periphery of the roller journal by means of a channel. The channel is made in the journal of the roller. Gas supplied into the space zone flows into internal space of the roller through the channel.
EFFECT: reduced resistance to rotation and roller creeping relative to strip, prevention of pressure rise in internal space of roller and elimination of undesirable deformation of roller.
