FILTER-CATALYST Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC B01D24/00

Abstract RU 2422186 C1

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filters-catalysts with high catalytic properties to be used in oil processing and catalytic neutralisation of substances in gases and solutions. Invention consists in that to nonwoven material with density of over 50 kg/m3 or 50-100 kg/m3 or 100-200 kg/m3 or within 200-500 kg/m3 or within 500-1000 kg/m3 or within 500-1500 kg/m3 or within 1000-1500 kg/m3 or within 50-1500 kg/m3, selected from group comprises quartz fiber, carbon fiber, synthetic fiber and nonwoven material fiber, with melt point making at least 100 degrees Centigrade, added are: (a) finely dispersed powder of catalyst selected from group comprises Pt, Rh, Pd, Ag, Au, Re and/or alloys and/or salts of said metal in whatever combination with particle size of 0.01-10 mcm or 0.01-40 mcm or 0.01-100 mcm or 40-100 mcm or 40-500 mcm or 40-1000 mcm or 100-500 mcm or 100-1000 mcm or 100-2000 mcm or 1000-2000 or 1000-3000 mcm or 2000 - 3000 mcm, or (b) finely dispersed powder of metal selected from group comprising Zn, Fe, Al, Ti, Ni, Cu, Co, coated by catalyst layer selected from group comprising Pt, Rh, Pd, Ag, Au, Re and/or alloys and/or salts of said metals in whatever combination with particle size of 0.01-10 mcm or 0.01-40 mcm or 0.,01-100 mcm or 40-100 mcm or 40-500 mcm or 40-1000 mcm or 100-500 mcm or 100-1000 mcm or 100-2000 mcm or 1000-2000 or 1000-3000 mcm or 2000-3000 mcm, note here that catalyst powder, in compliance with version (a) or metal powder with catalyst layer, in compliance with version (b), is added into said nonwoven material by wetting it in water suspension of catalyst or metal coated by said catalyst prepared with ratio of one water part per one part of catalyst or metal coated by said catalyst, or with ratio that slows water suspension of catalyst or metal coated by catalyst to penetrate into said nonwoven material. At least, one filtration cartridge is fitted catalyst-filter casing, consisting of said nonwoven material comprising said powder of catalyst or metal coated with said catalyst. Catalyst-filter is communicated with gas and/or solution feed pipe for gas and/pr solution to be subjected to catalytic conversions in passing through said filtration cartridge to escape through filter-catalyst casing bottom.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of crushing.
