FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonferrous metallurgy. Proposed method comprises charging melt into crystalliser and cooling ingot. Melt is fed via two strands at a time along crystalliser periphery and ingot center is cooled down. Dry ice or liquid nitrogen is used as a coolant.
EFFECT: higher quality of ingots.
