FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: valve for control of flow rate of hot gas consists of case, seat, gate and shaft which is installed in case in bearings and sealed with packing rings. Three graphite rings facing each other with ends are installed successively with axial play into the gap between the case and the shaft. On the shaft there is made a ledge contacting one end graphite ring. End graphite rings with their internal surface contact external surface of the shaft and do not touch the case. A middle graphite ring contact side surface of the case and forms a circular gap with external surface of the shaft. Also, a limiting ring is installed on the shaft. Distance between the ledge and the limiting ring exceeds summary thickness of graphite rings.

EFFECT: reduced load characteristics of valve operating under high temperature and pressure.
