FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: hydraulic flow energy conversion method consists in the fact that conversion is performed by changing the translational movement of flow to rotational movement of liquid and rotor of hydraulic turbine in the volume isolated from the main flow. At that first stage - owing to cutting off water flow to turbine and gradual narrowing of water line for the purpose of translational movement speed increase. At the second stage - owing to arranging water rotation simultaneously about two axes lying in perpendicular planes: rotation about hydraulic turbine rotor axis, and toroid-shaped vortex process at the bottom of restricted volume. At the third stage - owing to shaping accelerated ascending rotational-translational flow intended to spin the rotor and performing recuperative function.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of conversion of hydraulic flow energy, simpler design, smaller overall dimensions of turbine, and higher efficiency of the device.
