FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: roof cornice comprises a special element attached above a cornice along its edge at the section with higher risk of icicles formation for removal of the latter and made as a strip of strong water-resistant fabric. The outer edge of the strip is cut into transverse tapes, which freely hang down, at the same time lower edges of tapes are connected to each other by means of a strong cord, ends of which at various sides of the section are equipped with limiters of longitudinal displacement of a cord and are pulled through brackets fixed on lower surface of the cornice. One end of the cord is pulled down along the building wall and is connected to a handle, and the other freely hanging end of the cord - to a counterbalance weight.
EFFECT: reduced power inputs in cleaning of roofs from snow and ice.
