FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device to remove icicles from a building roof cornice comprises an actuator with side displacement of knives under the cornice along its edge and a mechanism of its drive. The actuator is arranged in the form of a lengthy jacket of a rectangular box section fixed on the lower plane of the cornice and having a through longitudinal slot on the external side. Inside the jacket there is a steel plate freely installed, and knives are arranged in the form of sharpened flat rods fixed to the front end of the plate and going outside via a jacket slot. The drive mechanism is arranged in the form of two rope sections fixed to the ends of the plate, thrown over stops and equipped with a handle and a counterweight.
EFFECT: improvement of device operational reliability.
