SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in operations on digestive system. Surgical instrument for application of anastomosis ring device contains handle and ring spreading mechanism on distal end of rod. Mechanism of ring spreading contains distal part and proximal part and is installed with possibility to move from inactive position into active position for anastomosis ring spreading. In order to prevent tissue capture into mechanism of ring spreading during introduction and removal of instrument, distal and proximal envelopes are made with possibility to wrap distal and proximal sections of mechanism of ring spreading respectively. Drive mechanism in handle gives possibility to move out distal envelope and set in action distal section of ring spreading mechanism by one movement of first drive runner. Drive mechanism also makes it possible to remove proximal envelope and set in action proximal section of ring spreading mechanism by one movement of second drive runner.
