FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of purifying waste water from lead ions and can be used in electrical engineering industry, instrument-making and radio electronics, where there is production of lead-acid accumulators, printed-circuit boards and electroplating shops. A mixture of iron (II) chloride salt and iron (III) sulphate is added to waste water containing lead ions and having hydrating pH in weight ratio to lead equal to 1:(0.9-1.1), where the weight ratio of Fe(II):Fe(III) ions in the mixture is equal to (0.4-0.6):(0.6-0.4) followed by electroflotation extraction from water of the formed suspended particles of metal ferrites with current density 7.5-8.0 mA/cm2 and treatment time of 4-5 minutes.
EFFECT: method increases degree of purification and rate of purification from lead ions, shortens duration of the process and reduces specific power consumption.
