FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in machine-building, instrument-making, ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, radio electronics, electrical engineering companies having electroplating facilities to create water treatment and recycling systems. To realise the method, waste water containing nickel, copper, zinc and chromium ions is mixed with Cl- or F- or NO3 - anions in form of a soluble sodium or potassium salt with weight ratio of the extracted metal to the added anion equal to 1:(0.3-1.5) and an organic substance N,N-dimethyl-N-prop-2-enylprop-2-ene-1-ammonium chloride is added with weight ration of the extracted metal to the added substance equal to 1:(0.002-0.003), followed by electroflotation extraction of the formed residue from water.
EFFECT: achieving high degree of purification from nonferrous metal ions of up to 99,99%.
