FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and environmental protection and can be used for purification of waste water containing highly dispersed carbonaceous materials. Method for electro-flotation extraction of finely dispersed carbon materials from waste water involves electroflotation at pH 7, current density 0.2 A/l in the presence of a surfactant of alkyldimethyl (2-hydroxyethyl) ammonium chloride and sodium chloride with weight ratio of to each other [1:1:5]. This invention allows to increase degree of extraction of finely dispersed carbon materials from 70.0–73.0 % to 89.0–90.0 at preservation of time of electric flotation for 20 minutes.

EFFECT: thus, efficiency from application of proposed method is caused by increased degree of extraction of highly dispersed carbon materials from waste water by 16–20 %.
