SUBSTANCE: overvoltage suppressor (1) for medium and high voltage includes two end electrodes, column of many varistor units installed one after the other in axial direction of varistor units between the first and the second end electrodes; clamping devices connecting the first end electrode to the second end electrode and outer housing and includes combined module intended to provide the adjustment of length and turn and which is located between column of varistor units and the second end electrode. Combined module includes two elements having the possibility of being adjusted relative to each other in axial direction.

EFFECT: length adjustment device and turning element are connected to each other so that a single module is provided.
