FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: overshoot suppression device comprises the outer polymeric enclosure with edges, at a minimum one variable resistors column, which is placed between two end electrodes in the isolating frame. Within the frame, there are two inserted into each other metallic cylinder without the single base. The inner metallic cylinder is isolated from the outer one and comprises inside at a minimum one variable resistor unit, which is isolated from the cylinder's walls and has the electrical connection of one contact element to its base by dint of the pressure current-conducting element, which is linked to the electric transmission line and to the second contact element that puts the pressure on it. On the inner cylinder outer surface, there are the primary insulated winding made of the conductive material, one end of which is linked to the inner cylinder, and the second end is linked to the outer earthed cylinder; and the secondary insulated winding made of the conductive material, the ends of which are removed from the frame.
EFFECT: level increase of the electric transmission line protection against the lightning overvoltage.
