FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum is created in a reactor. Water is fed into the reactor and aluminium wire is passed between electrodes of the reactor. An electric pulse with energy 10-20 kJ/g is periodically transmitted to the electrodes and initial explosion of the aluminium wire takes place to obtain liquid aluminium nanoparticles in water, which form aluminium oxides and hydrogen which fills the space above the water. Further, explosion of the aluminium wire takes place in a hydrogen medium. The wire is exploded in water at temperature lower than 80°C.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency and reduces power consumption of the process and increases purity of hydrogen.
