METHOD OF PRODUCING HYDROGEN Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC C01B3/10

Abstract RU 2428372 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry. hydrogen is obtained by periodically feeding water and aluminium powder into a reactor between iron electrodes. The obtained aluminium-water suspension get into contact with the electrodes to which an electrical pulse is periodically transmitted with energy density in the said suspension equal to 5-15 kJ/g. The powder is dispersed to form liquid aluminium nanoparticles which react with water to form aluminium oxides and hydrogen gas.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency and reduces power consumption of the process.
