FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in using reference angle magnitudes and polygons. Test radial polygon is constructed by special marks arranged along circumference through identical angle in quantity not less than 20. Circumference radius should make 10 to 40 m. High-accuracy tacheometer is placed at the center of radial polygon. Reference magnitudes of angles between directions to marks are measured. Then, scanner is places instead of tacheometer. Multiple measurements (over 200) per each marks are made in compliance with operating instructions. Results of said multiple measurements are used to define coordinates of marks centers by means of control software. Scans are externally oriented into coordinate system preset by electronic tacheometre. Departure of measured angles from their reference magnitudes is determined in software product. Mean square error of angle measurement mmeas is calculated. Obtained error of angle measurement mmeas is compared with tolerance defined by formula: where mφ is mean square error of angle measurement specified in operating instructions for particular type of ground laser scanner.
EFFECT: determination of valid and accurate errors.
