SUBSTANCE: according to the first version of a method, the first stage involves implanting two synthetic half-rings in stromal corneal tunnels, while at the second stage, refraction effect stabilisation is followed by computed anterior segment analysis by evaluating corneal refraction. Then, the corneal refraction values in projections of the implanted half-rings are compared to determine a corneal region of the greatest refractive power. Thereafter, this region is exposed to laser so that to divide the half-ring into two fragments in each exposure area. Then, the corneal refraction values in projections of the implanted half-rings are compared to determine a corneal region of the greatest refractive power in a projection of each implanted half-ring. Thereafter, these regions are exposed to laser so that to divide the half-ring into two fragments in each exposure area. In residual ametropia or induced astigmatism, the half-ring or the fragments are additionally divided into two fragments.
EFFECT: method enables adequate additional correction by corneal deformation for changing its optical properties.
