FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: control method of gas engine (1) consists in the fact when fuel gas has low calorific capacity, or when output power of the engine is high, fuel gas is mixed with air so that mixture is formed, which is poorer than lower flammability limit of fuel gas; after that, mixture is supplied to turbo-supercharger. Also, fuel gas is supplied from gas supply source line (21) through gas compressor (18) to the first gas line (212). Formation of the specified composition of fuel-air mixture in each cylinder is controlled with the first gas valve (20). When fuel gas has high calorific capacity, or when engine output power is low, the second gas valve (19) is closed and the whole fuel flow is supplied to each cylinder through the first gas line (212). Also, the invention describes gas engine that includes: turbo-supercharger, the first gas supply line (212) with branch line (213), the first gas valve (20), gas compressor (18), the second gas valve (19), the second gas line (211), the second gas valve (19), gas-air mixer (10). The first gas valve (20) is installed on branch line (213). Gas compressor (18) is installed on the first gas line (212). The second gas valve (19) controls fuel gas flow through the second gas line (211). Gas-air mixer (10) mixes fuel gas entering through the second gas line (212) with the air.
EFFECT: providing high-accuracy control of composition of fuel-air mixture at various fuel gas calorific capacity.
