FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device to compact ballast of rail track comprises a bearing beam suspended by means of a deepening hydraulic cylinder on a machine frame and a vibration tool. The vibration tool may execute vibratory oscillations from a vibroexciter and represents a rod with a sealing blade, above which there is a ramming board fixed. The rod of the vibration tool is installed on an axis pin fixed on the bearing beam so that it may rotate relative to the axis pin and/or to the bearing beam. The device is additionally equipped with a facility of rod return into neutral position.
EFFECT: preserves neutral position of the vibration tool rod during operations of rail track ballast compaction.
