FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat resistant glass fibre which is used to increase strength of composite materials. The heat resistant glass fibre contains at least: from 62.0 to 66.0 wt % SiO2; from 14.0 to 16.4 wt % Al2O3; from 0.8 to 1.2 wt % TiO2; from 10.0 to 12.0 wt % CaO; from 4.0 to 6.0 wt % MgO; from 0.8 to 1.5 wt % ZnO; from 0.2 to 0.6 wt % Na2O+K2O+Li2O; from 0.2 to 0.5 wt % CeO2; less than 0.5 wt % TeO2+HfO2+La2O3. A sizing agent of the following composition is applied on the fibre: 2.0-4.0 wt % polyvinyl acetate ethylene copolymer; 0.3-0.7 wt % polyamidoamide; 0.1-0.3 wt % polyvinyl alcohol - polyether mixture; 0.1-0.3 wt % polyolefin wax; 0.4-0.7 wt % adhesion promoter; water in an amount which supplements to 100 wt %.
EFFECT: increase in heat resistance of the fibre to over 750°C.
