SUBSTANCE: in order to form one common transformed image data unit, a first image data unit and a second image data unit containing a plurality of node points, respectively, are used, wherein the node points of the first image data unit act as spatial coordinates of a first coordinate system, and node points of the second image data unit act as spatial coordinates of a second coordinate system. The image data units are brought into conformity with the corresponding data equivalent. Several data equivalents are connected to each other, wherein the position of the data equivalents after connection to each other is displayed in a higher-level coordinate system. Spatial coordinates of the node points from the first and second coordinate systems are transformed into the higher-level coordinate system based on the connected data equivalents.
EFFECT: broader functionalities owing to image transformation, which provides easy and fast inspection of three-dimensional structures consisting of modules.
