FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, orthopedics, method of surgical treatment optimisation for motor disturbances of children with cerebral palsy. If children with cerebral palsy have indications for surgical treatment, BMI is calculated by formula 
Surgical treatment is started only with BMI 16±2 for 6-8 y.o. children of any sex, 17±2 for 9-10 y.o. children, 18±2 for 11 y.o. children, 19±2 for 12 y.o. children, 20±2 for 13-17 y.o. children. If BMI differs from proper value it is corrected to the desired value, and weight monitoring and dynamic correction are implemented in post-operation period, during rehabilitation treatment, if required.
EFFECT: possible restoration or enhancement of functional capability of arms and legs in optimum time period for children with cerebral palsy by surgical treatment, increased tolerance to general anesthesia and operation trauma, improved healing of post-operation wounds, reduced risk of post-operational complications.
