FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, particularly a cryosurgical instrument which can be used in gynaecology, oncology, urology, neurosurgery, dermatology, cosmetology, as well as in general surgery. An apparatus comprises a cryoagent container with a vacuum thermal insulation, an L-shaped capillary tube with an operative tip with its vertical portion connected with the mentioned container, and its horizontal portion - with the operative tip, an atmospheric discharge nozzle for liquid-vapour mixture, a safety valve, a handle, a gate valve with a spring-assisted rod and a seat. A gate valve body comprises a liquid cavity connected with the cryoagent container through an inlet fitting, while an outlet fitting of the liquid cavity is connected with the vertical portion of the L-shaped capillary tube. From a side of the seat, a rod head comprises a ball seal blocking cryoagent supply through the inlet fitting. If the gate valve is open, the inlet and outlet fittings are connected through the liquid cavity of the gate valve. A back surface of the rod head represents a seal face which in the open position of a gate valve, resting on a seal bushing mounted in the body and interacting with the moving rod does not prevent the cryoagent ingress into a thermal zone of the rod drive executed in the form of the interacting handle, locking bushing, spring, closing sleeve.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing reliable performance of the apparatus ensured by air-tightness of the locking valve and thereby preventing frosting of the locking valve drive.
