FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to safety belt tensioner. Proposed device comprises piston 2 reciprocating in piston guide 2 driven by expelling gas pressure. Toothed section 3 is also driven by piston 2 to transmit motion from piston to gear 4. Gear 4 is engaged with or allows engagement with safety belt roll 13 so that gear rotation causes that of safety belt roll. Piston toothed section 3 us mounted to displace across direction of piston travel to get engaged with gear 4 by expelling gas pressure.
EFFECT: reduced stain in gearing.
