SUBSTANCE: sensor for content of sulphur dioxide in air has a gas-sensitive layer lying on a dielectric substrate made from glass ceramic on which there are comb-like metal electrodes, consists of a product of reaction of N,N'-dioctyl-4,4'-dipyridilium dibromide - (C26H42N2Br2) [dioctylviologen dibromide (Viol)Br2] and potassium hexacyanoferrate (II) - K4[Fe(CN)6] or from a product of reaction of N,N'-dioctyl-4,4'-dipyridilium dribromide - (C26H42N2Br2) [dioctylviologen dibromide, (Viol)Br2] and sodium pentacyanonitrosoferrate (nitroprusside) - Na2[Fe(CN)5NO] or from a product of rection of N,N'-dioctyl-4,4'- dipyridilium dribromide - (C26H42N2Br2) [dioctylviologen dibromide, (Viol)Br2] and potassium tetrachloroplatinate (II) K2[PtCl4].

EFFECT: invention provides high sensitivity and sufficient selectivity and continuous nature of analytical signal generation.
