FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to methods of separation of granular materials, differing in density (roughness, elasticity), and can be used in chemical industry, metallurgy, construction industry, agriculture and other industries. Proposed method comprises feeding material onto rough gravity chute arranged at an angle to horizon, dividing shear flow of loose particles by height into fractions, discharge of produced fractions into receiving bin divided by partitions into sections. Above the surface of the rough gravity chute, a belt conveyor with a rough belt is installed with the possibility of adjusting the gap. Speed of the rough conveyor belt is adjusted, the material is imparted with an additional impulse in the direction of the slope to the particles moving at the open surface of the flow, until an average shear rate in it is 65…70 s-1 and dividing the shear flow into parts which are conjugated along the surface with the highest shear rate values.
EFFECT: improving separation efficiency of loose materials with different density (roughness, elasticity) and enlarging their technological capabilities.
