FIELD: power supply industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention comprises a shell, lids (3), wedges, rod (6) with pins (7) and device (8) for initial wedge tightening. The device (8) includes an upper and a lower horizontal rack braced with bolts positioned in apertures. The aperture has a slot with chamfers positioned at an angle from 1 to 60° with respect to the axis of symmetry and at a distance of n=(0,2÷0,8)d from the said axis, where d is the diameter of the aperture. The aperture is elliptical with a 0,5-10 mm distance between its two foci. The upper rack of the device is shaped as a flat plate with horizontal flanges and the central part bent in the shape of the upper wedge notch. The wedge notches must have triangular or rectangular break groove. The groove height is 0,2-1,5 mm, grooves are positioned at an angle from 8 to 45° with respect to the horizontal axis. One side of the groove's triagle is positioned at an angle (3÷15°) with respect to the vertical axis, the second side is positioned at an angle (8÷45°) to the horizontal axis. One of the horizontal racks of the device (8) is made from an aluminum plate to prevent magnetic losses in the wedge by breaking the magnetic circuit.
EFFECT: cheap production and easy installation on overhead transmission lines.
