SUBSTANCE: invention refers to obtaining direct-reduced iron. Oxidised iron raw material chosen from the group containing iron ore and dust formed during iron manufacture is dried to the specified moisture content and mixed with reducing material having the specified moisture content. The obtained mixture is crushed to powder for obtaining 80% of particles after screening with diameter of 70 to 500 mcm. Mixture is prepared after the required moisture content in mixture is achieved; mixture is agglomerated and agglomerate is reduced in rotary hearth furnace in order to obtain direct-reduced iron.
EFFECT: invention allows obtaining direct-reduced iron having high metallisation level and increased product yield.
