SUBSTANCE: according to the method the substance is introduced to undercoupling space under pressure equal to half the pressure inside pipeline when the coupling is being filled, which provides independency of stress distribution between pipe and coupling from pipeline working pressure. Pressure for filling undercoupling space with substance is calculated generally by the formula where P“p” - working pressure inside pipeline, P“y” - pipeline pressure when undercoupling space is being filled with substance, P“M” - substance pressure in undercoupling space, σ“T0” - circumferential tensile stresses in pipe wall without coupling at working pressure P“p”; σ “Tp” - annular tensile stresses in pipe wall with installed coupling with filling, δ“T” - pipe wall thickness, and δ“M” - coupling wall thickness, improving repair quality.
