FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to catalysts having an SNA type crystalline structure, methods of making said catalysts and use thereof in a system for processing exhaust gases and reducing nitrogen oxides. Described is a catalyst containing zeolite, having an SNA type structure and molar ratio of silicon dioxide to aluminium oxide greater than 15 and atomic ratio of copper to aluminium greater than 0.25, and a method of making said catalyst, where ion-exchange copper is replaced with copper acetate. Described is a catalyst having a cellular support on which the described catalyst is deposited and higher content of free copper than ion-exchange copper. Described is a system for processing exhaust gases and a method of reducing nitrogen oxides.
EFFECT: removing nitrogen oxides from a gaseous medium in a wide temperature range and hydrothermal resistance of catalysts at high reaction temperatures.
