FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus relates to disinfection and sterilisation of liquids using ultraviolet (UV) radiation in the bactericidal range, obtained using light-emitting diode (LED) radiators and can be used in closed multi-lamp systems. The apparatus has, in at least one copy, a UV source with power supply terminals placed coaxially with respect to one of the foci of the housing, which is in form of an elliptic cylinder with an inner surface which reflects in the UV range. A UV-transmitting tube, through which the liquid to undergo treatment moves, is placed coaxially relative the second foci of the housing. The UV source is in form of a UV LED mat which is rolled up into a cylinder with LEDs lying on the outer side of the cylinder which is placed at the other focus of the elliptic housing.
EFFECT: high efficiency of water treatment.
