SUBSTANCE: electronic thermometer has a probe point, having a temperature measuring element at the end of the probe point, a first temperature sensor, a second sensor for determining contact with a human body, a unit for determining the state of the contact between the temperature measuring element and the target measurement area of the user and a unit for signalling in accordance with the determination result from the determination unit. The signalling unit performs signalling by switching a LED in different colours depending on the position of the contact. The signalling unit includes a buzzer for signalling when the state of the contact is bad.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining contact of the device with the body and temperature measurement.
