SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for driver assistance. The apparatus for driver assistance comprises one or several processors. The processors are configured to determine whether the condition for determining a misapplied pedal pressing, and in a situation wherein one or several processors determine that the condition for determining a misapplied pedal pressing is met, output at least a warning graphic indication or a warning sound signal directly indicating the need to release the pedal pressed at the time of output to the driver.
EFFECT: increased safety of vehicle operation is achieved.
