FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology and can be used in revision operations on hip joint for extraction of acetabular component of hip joint endoprosthesis from bone mass. Instrument contains working element. Working element includes hemispherical cup cutter, fork and axis. Cutter is made with cutting teeth, located on circumference of cutter butt end, and is installed on fork with possibility of rotation around fork. Fork is installed on axis with possibility of swinging with respect to said axis. Working element is made in such a way that point of intersection of cutter rotation axis and axis of fork swinging coincides with the centre of cutter hemisphere and centre of extracted cup of acetabular component.
EFFECT: invention ensures reduction of time for extraction of acetabular component of hip joint prosthesis, elimination of tearing out and traumas of bone mass, minimisation of its loss, stabilisation of rehabilitation in further operations.
