FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear plant engineering, in particular, to spacing devices for holding spent fuel assemblies of a VVER-1000 reactor during their transportation and storage in containers. A jacket for installation and storage of spent fuel assemblies of a VVER-1000 reactor comprising a central pipe, spacer grids with twenty pipes, where spent fuel assemblies are installed. Pipes are made in the form of a hexahedron and are installed into two circular rows relative to the axis of the central pipe separated with an intermediate pipe. Pipes in a row are coupled to each other by means of ribs, and some faces at the outer side are lined with radiation protection pads.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide for optimal nuclear safe installation of at least 20 spent fuel assemblies in a jacket and efficient heat removal from spent fuel assemblies.
