FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, namely to spacing devices, in which spent fuel assemblies of VVER-1000 reactor, during their transportation and storage in containers. Cover for placing and storing spent fuel assemblies includes central pipe, spacer grids with hexagonal tubes. Spacer grids with hexagonal tubes are made up of interconnected sections. Each section is made from aluminium alloy and consists of central pipe, two spacer grids with hexagonal holes. Hexagonal tubes are arranged in holes. Tubes have inner hexagonal grooves at their ends. Hexagonal guides of corrosion-resistant steel are installed in grooves. Sections are installed on base consisting of spacer support with holes. Clamping devices are installed on outer side along axis of holes. Bearing pipe is made of stainless steel and has adapter for load gripper.
EFFECT: invention allows to create cover for placing and storing of at least 20 spent fuel assemblies, having longer service life.
