FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, in particular, to means for storing spent nuclear fuel elements of a VVER 1000 reactor. Storage bag for spent fuel assemblies from VVER-1000 reactors consists of cover pipes, the central core with the mold, the cover, spacer grids, and the bottom. Cross sections of the openings in the spacer grids and pipes are made in the form of hexagons; spacer grids are made round; case pipe material - boron steel; the number of cover pipes for the placement of fuel assemblies is eighteen; the axes of the case tubes are arranged symmetrically with respect to the central axes of the case, with the nominal values of the size of the case: D1 = 595 mm, D2 = 1,190 mm, β = 30º, where D1 is the internal diameter on which case pipes are located, D2 – external diameter, on which the cover pipes are located; β – the angular spacing of the position of the cover pipes on the diameters D1 and D2.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the payload ratio of the storage for spent fuel assemblies.
