ROAD EMBANKMENT ON PERMAFROST Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC E02D17/18 

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely, to erection of road embankments on permafrost in areas with snow transfer. Road embankment on permafrost in areas with snow transfer comprises a filling body located on natural surface of base soils, a cooling system for stabilizing temperature conditions of permafrost soils, wherein the embankment body is made in the trapezium cross-section in the form of a trapezoid with the upper (small) base for the arrival of the transport, bounded on the sides by the planks and the lower base, which is equal to the sum of the upper base and two projections with the width "d" of the sloping parts, in which the angle of inclination of the side surfaces is equal to "α_i". In winter period on slope parts of embankment and adjacent sections there formed is snow prism, in cross section representing triangle, one side of which coincides with surface of sloping part of embankment, second one – with natural surface of soil of bases, and third is located to horizontal line at angle "α_sn", at that one of tops of triangle coincides with that of main platform. Cooling system for stabilization of temperature conditions of permafrost soils is made in the form of bases located directly on natural surface of soils parallel to road embankment of soil prism, in cross section which is a trapezoid with upper (small) base width "b_p", height" h_p", at that spacing between opposite planks of main embankment and upper base of soil prism is equal to "c" and is determined from given relationship.

EFFECT: reduced volume of road embankment, reduced total cost of structure.
