FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to simulation of casting mould cooling. Proposed model comprises heat pipes arranged in casting mould. Encased heat pipes are communicated with heater and manifold. Heater is made up of tube with heat carrier and electric heating element. Thermocouples arranged under casing, in heater and manifold, and coolant speed transducer are connected in casting mould model ACS. Tube number n=3-10. Tube OD d, ribbing diameter d1 tube length l, heater diameter D and length L are interrelated as follows: d1/d=1.5-1.7; D/d=2.8-3; L/d=18-20; l/d=22-24.
EFFECT: lower costs and labor input.
