FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Die consists of four paired lengthwise working walls 1, every pair being provided with vertical and horizontal channels 2 and 3 for coolant. Die comprises sealed cooling chamber 4 composed of two coaxial pipes 5 and 7 of smaller diameter with lengthwise ribs on inner surface and larger diameter connected by pipes with vertical medium channels 2. Vertical channels 2 and horizontal channel 3 and sealed cooling chamber 4 make closed circuit of high-temperature heat pipe. Number of vertical channels n1 = 2-25 and that of horizontal channels n2 = 2-5 in every lengthwise channel of said first and second pairs. Diameter of vertical channels d1 = 45-65 mm, diameter of horizontal channels in walls d2 = 25-35 mm. All four walls of the die are made of steel with conductivity factor λ and wall thickness δ" are relates by relationship λ/δ = 3.5-4.5. Thermocouples are fitted in wall vertical and horizontal channels as well as at sealed cooling chamber smaller diameter pipe inlet and outlet. Electrical heaters are arranged at lower parts of the die four working walls.
EFFECT: efficient cooling of die walls.
