FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. 2 hours before surgery 5-aminolevulinic acid in dose 15 mg/kg of body weight, dissolved in 100 ml of water is introduced. Microsurgical resection of tumour with application of microscope and neuronavigational control is realised. After resection of glial tumour performed is removal of its residual fragments, fluorescent under infrared illumination of neuroendoscope by means of microscope with switched off illuminator.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to remove glial tumour in case of its deep location in more radical way.
