FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. Diffusion-bound powder comprises iron or iron-base particles and those diffusion-bound therewith or with particles bearing alloy from Cu and 5-15 wt % of Sn. Note here that 50-90 wt % represent iron particles. Part (component) is formed, at least partially, from said powder. Proposed method of fabricating part comprises making powder, compacting it at 200-600 MPa and sintering compacted powder. Method of producing diffusion-bound powder comprises making bronze powder representing alloy from Cu and 5-15 wt % of Sn. Note here that powder features median value for distribution of particles of X50<15 mcm. Besides, it includes mixing aforesaid powder with iron powder with particle size of less than 250 mcm, annealing the mix at 750-830°C for 15-180 min in reducing atmosphere, mixing it and sieving.

EFFECT: part suitable for self-lubing bearing.
