FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assembly and method for producing automotive wheel tires. Proposed assembly comprises, at least, one device to accommodate, at least, one circular fastener on, at least, one carcass layer edge. Said device is arranged around lengthwise of moulding support to allow axial displacement relative to said support between working position distant from said support and, at least, one working position nearby it. Said assembly incorporates appliance for wrapping carcass layer end edge around circular fastener. Said wrapping appliance is arranged around the moulding support lengthwise axis to allow axial displacement toward/from said support. Devices for arrangement and wrapping may synchronously expand/contract relative to moulding support axis and be fitted in multiple radial working position. Every said radial working position is selected proceeding from appropriate radial size of the tire.
EFFECT: production of tires with required radial sizes.
