FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device refers to high-frequency equipment and can be used at creation of high-frequency (HF) sources of electromagnetic emission. If compared to the known generator of high-frequency emission, which contains gas discharge chamber, in the chamber there provided is gas discharge gap formed with anode and hollow cathode; open cavity of cathode faces the anode insulated from it; power supply connected to electrodes of gas discharge chamber; vacuum system connected to the chamber; electric load is connected parallel to electrodes of the chamber. In gas discharge chamber of the proposed generator there provided is at least one additional gas discharge gap; power supply provides synchronous transmission of potential drop to electrodes of gas discharge chamber, and gas discharge gaps are connected by means of vacuum channels providing the possibility of transportation of charged particles from one gas discharge chamber to others. Generator provides for the following: gas discharge gaps can be connected by means of vacuum channels having minimum possible length, and namely gas discharge gaps can be made as adjacent gaps; gas discharge gaps can be connected by means of vacuum channels having minimum possible number of bends.

EFFECT: increasing the power of high-frequency electromagnetic emission emitted with the generator.
