FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: generator of HF emission based on a discharge with a hollow cathode includes a gas-discharge chamber including a hollow cathode and an anode insulated from it, a power supply connected to electrodes of the gas-discharge chamber, a vacuum chamber interconnected with the working cavity of the chamber; with that, parallel to the chamber electrodes there connected is an electric load, and a section of surface of hollow cathode, which faces the anode and is opposite to it, is made from non-conducting material.
EFFECT: increase of values of duration of HF energy pulses formed on the generator electric load by increasing the time of discharge existence in a volumetric shape.
