FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-frequency equipment. High-frequency radiation generator based on discharge with hollow cathode comprises a gas discharge chamber, formed by electrodes - hollow cathode and hollow anode, separated by an insulator, electrodes of chamber are connected to power supply and electric load, wherein cavity of cathode and cavity of anode open towards each other and are interconnected by a channel formed by area of joint of cathode and anode by a hole opening cathode cavity, a hole in insulator, defining interelectrode interval, and a hole opening anode cavity. Channel is narrowed by at least one of holes which form a channel, so that area of cross section of said hole is smaller than average cross sectional area of cathode cavity.
EFFECT: higher values of generation frequencies of HF-generator based on discharge with hollow cathode.
