FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: pulse of linearly polarised electromagnetic waves is used as a pulsed signal and the parameter which serves to display information contained in the signal is the orientation of the polarisation plane, which can assume one of fixed orientation angular positions for a separate signal. These angular positions have several discrete (intermittent) values which are correlated with values of the transmitted pulsed information. To obtain a signal pulse, a set of sources with invariable, fixed linear polarisation orientations is used for successive on/off switching thereof in an order which is determined by the transmitted information. The pulse sequence is realised with identification of their polarisation positions and, consequently, with information values carried by the signal pulses. Efficiency of the system directly depends on the number of identified discrete angular positions in the identified range.
EFFECT: increasing information transmitted by one pulsed signal without reducing frequency characteristics of the pulsed signals.
